Sheffield City Region Sustainability Forum Annual Lunch

Hosted at the Think Low Carbon (TLC) Sustainable centre in Barnsley, Sheffield City Region Sustainability Forum are proud to host their Annual Lunch presenting the forthcoming Green Deal and what it means to businesses in the region.
The event will allow business leaders to meet and network with leading decision makers, informers and exhibitors about sustainability, the low carbon sector and the Green Deal in the city region. There will be a lunch served and keynote address given by Lord Redesdale, Vice Chair of the APPG for Climate Change, and presentations given by leading business and environmental representatives.
Biography of Lord Redesdale
Lord Redesdale was the Energy Spokesman for the Liberal Democrats for the House of Lords 2000-2008 during which time he has introduced more private members bills in the area of energy and conservation than anyone else. As Vice Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Climate Change Group he has worked to spread the message about the carbon costs of energy especially computing. In 2009 Lord Redesdale founded the Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Association (ADBA) which now has over 260 member companies. He has just founded the Carbon Management Association which will approve all Carbon Management courses in the future. The CMA will provide carbon training courses to all companies to reduce their energy and CRC bill.
About the SCRSF
The SCRSF is one of the main forums of the City Region Chambers, operated by the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce. The forum has a direct link with the key Low Carbon Sector Group for the Sheffield City Region LEP, thus providing a direct link between the LEP and the regions’ businesses to help exploit the huge range of opportunities presented by the sector. Our basic aim is to help companies to profit from the green agenda by connecting with other like-minded businesses, exploring new opportunities and finding ways to increase local organisation’s profitability, while improving their own environmental performance and compliance.
With over two decades of experience the SCRSF continues to organise successful events, provide information and help businesses to make the most of environmental opportunities.
