Inspired by the Great British Bake Off and fancy sharing your baked treats? The Sheffield Branch of the Clandestine Cake Club will be rocking a retro theme for its October get together.
Run by Sheffield-based Life Coach Karen Perkins the October meeting of the baking club will have a Back to the 1950s theme.
To incorporate the theme bakers could explore the tastes and textures of the 50s, use a variety of pastel colours or add an unusual austerity ingredient into the mix.
The group gets together once a month with cakes baked to certain theme for a non-competitive celebration of cake. Past themes have included astronomical cakes and vampire cakes.
The October meeting of the Sheffield Clandestine Cake Club will take place on Saturday, October 20 from 3.30pm until 5.30pm at a secret vintage venue. The venue will only be revealed to guests booked on just before the event. It has previously been held at Thelma’s on Sharrow Vale Road and Honey Pie Tearoom.
